  Valentine's Fine Arts Night
by Mary Bertrand
Many months of preparation have gone into the Fine Arts Show on Valentine’s Day 2008 at the Methodist Church in LaCrosse. The selection and participation of talented men and women in the evening’s performance has been slightly miraculous! There is much talent out here in rural America and showcasing it has been a privilege on the part of this writer. It is considered an adult evening; however, several young participants -- whom many of you have already heard -- will thrill you again with their wonderful singing and dancing abilities. The reception following the performance will enhance the evening further. A sample of the menu such as, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, dessert table including a chocolate fountain along with a raspberry punch, tea and coffee will tempt everyone who finds a reason to celebrate Valentine’s Day! The Arts Council hopes that it will be the perfect finale for a wonderful evening. Tickets are available for $15. We cannot promise you a seat if you buy at the door, but we will WELCOME you – not matter what. Please come. Enjoy – and feast with us afterwards. A reminder to all ticket holders: You have contributed to furthering long range plans toward the beautification of downtown LaCrosse. THANK YOU for your support!

  Chris Wargo
Chris is a ninth grader at LaCrosse High School. Listening to CD’s from the time he was six years old has helped Chris develop his skills as a singer. Chris’ voice reflects qualities learned from his favorite performers, Nat King Cole and Josh Groban. Besides singing, other interests are video games and participation in drama. Chris will be performing at the Valentine Fine Arts Night.

Corbin Harder
Corbin has studied piano from the time he was eight years old. He now plays for his own enjoyment. Corbin’s future holds dreams of becoming a pilot. Right now he is in the ninth grade at LaCrosse High School and lives with his family on a ranch near Hooper. Corbin will be performing at the Valentine Fine Arts Night.
